After two hugely successful events in 2023 our team is taking a well earned rest! We hope to provide more information about a possible future event soon.

Australian National Ballooning Championships are generally held every two years, and are planned to take place in alternate years to any World Championships, which are also usually held every two years. This allows for the selection of the Australian Team to attend the World Championships.

The Ballooning Organisations of the various Australian States are invited by the Australian Ballooning Federation (ABF) to submit their interest in holding the Championships. It is anticipated that the next Championships will be in 2025, and will be hosted in the Eastern States. 

In recent times, the Championships have been held in Northam, Western Australia in 2015, 2017 and 2023.

In the interim, Northam Ballooning Events and the Shire of Northam will be exploring the options to hold a Balloon Festival in Northam possibly as early as 2025.
